General Description of the Property: 2 bedroom 1 bathroom 1st floor apartment with a well thought out kitchen and an open plan lounge diner. Front terrace overlooking, in most cases, the gardens and swimming pool. External stairs lead up to the huge roof top terrace. In total the terraces total 55 square meters! General Description of the Area: Jardines de Alhama is Spanish for the Gardens of Alhama. It is a Resort within a Resort, as it is part of the ‘Super Resort’, the much larger ‘Condado de Alhama’, what Polaris World call “A World of Resorts”. Jardines de Alhama is situated along the southern boundary of Condado de Alhama. It has been built in a ‘W’ shape, with the tip of each part of the ‘W’ extending into the open areas of Condado de Alhama, facing into one of the three golf courses on site. The properties at Jardines de Alhama are all apartments, built in low rise blocks of just ground floor apartments and above them 1st floor apartments – these are not high rise tower blocks of apartments. All apartments face in to their own communal swimming pools and lush gardens. What is so Special about this Property?: The price. For a 2 bedroom apartment this is a good price anyway, but add in all of the facilities that Polaris World are going to build on site and this becomes excellent value for money. Rental Potential: Polaris World spends millions on TV advertising (€18 million budget for 2008). They are creating the interest. If you buy this Polaris World property and wish to rent it out then tap into the interest that the advertising campaign is creating. To assist you further Polaris World have now launched ‘Vacaciones Polaris World’. They have created a glossy 74 page heavyweight brochure, a DVD, a price structure and lots of ideas, so why not let them try to fill your property with paying guests! Plot Size (m2): Not applicable. Swimming Pool: Communal swimming pools. Disabled/Mature Years Friendly?: No not really, too many steps to climb. Parking: This is a pedestrianised Resort. No cars have access inside the gardens, so this is a safe place for children to play and a place that gives peace of mind to parents. Cars are parked behind the properties on the roads, but still within the secure Resort perimiter. Garden: This is a 1st floor apartment so there is no garden, but there is a front terrace and also a H-U-G-E roof top terrace. Resorts & Developments:
Golf: 3 Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf courses on site. Not just one but two ‘Bears Best’ courses and the third course being a ‘Signature’ course. As an owner of a Polaris World property, homeowners become members of the Polaris Club, allowing access to all Polaris World Resorts facilities, be they shops, hotels, sports, spas or golf. Of note is the Nicklaus Golf Trail, the 9 golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, all of which are within Polaris World Resorts, 3 are here on site and all are within a 25 kilometre radius. Close by are other non-Polaris World courses, in total there are approaching 20 golf courses within a 25 kilometre radius! Cafe, Bars and Restaurants: The Resort will have its very own town centre called ‘Foro’. Here will be located café bars and restaurants, a shop, a diy outlet (!), a gym, spa and the Social Club. Outside of the confines of this particular Jardines de Alhama Resort are the numerous other Resorts of the much larger Condado de Alhama ‘Super Resort’, so countless leisure and sporting activities will be here, very close by. This is a true ‘Super Resort’, the very first in this part of Spain. The seaside town of Mazarron is just 10 to 15 minutes drive away with all of its typically Spanish cafés, bars, restaurants and shops. The Spanish town of Alhama de Murcia is very close by for a traditional inland and unrushed experience. As an owner of a Polaris World property, homeowners become members of the Polaris Club, allowing access to all Polaris World Resorts facilities, be they shops, hotels, sports, spas or golf. Beach: The gently shelving, safe and sandy beaches of Mazarron are just about 10 to 15 minutes drive away (for information on Mazarron please select the item ‘Mazarron’ under the bullet point ‘Places of Interest’ in the left menu). Polaris World are also building their own beach club at the end tip of the beautiful La Manga Strip, and the nearest Mar Menor beach is around 25 to 30 minutes drive away (for more information select the item ‘Mar Menor and La Manga’ under the bullet point ‘Places of Interest’ in the left menu). The Beach Club La Manga will have café bars and a restaurant with a swimming pool on-site. Our Personal Opinion: Jardines de Alhama being a Polaris World Resort, itself being located within Condado de Alhama, a “World of Resorts” as it is, should mean that the choice of leisure pursuits available, the breadth of café bars and restaurants and the choice of no less than 3 Jack Nicklaus golf courses on-site mean that here should be something for everyone. The Resort has an open and airy feel, things are well spaced out, and the apartments are some of the least expensive in this part of Spain. Add into the value for money quotient all the things that Polaris World build in to their Resorts and these properties become unbeatable value for money.
