Introduction
Built by Polaris World inland on 1.4 million square meters of land in the style of a large self contained village with every facility and service that one needs for day to day living, yet just 15 minutes to the beach. At its heart is the par 68 Jack Nicklaus 18 hole golf course and the magnificent town centre backing on to a lake with its shops, cafés bars and restaurants, a supermarket selling international provisions, a fully functioning health centre, a 5 star hotel and spa (due to open in 2008), a large conference and events centre and even a British School (Kings College), La Torre has something for everyone! There is even a shuttle bus that goes between all of the Polaris World Resorts!

Our Personal Opinion
This is a typical Polaris World Golf Resort, their 2nd completed project, and an incredibly popular Resort with 99% of all properties already sold, with many of these already occupied. The entire Resort is in the style of a large-ish village with the Jack Nicklaus golf course meandering through it, and at its heart a magnificent town centre backing on to a lake. There are apartments, townhouses and villas here, but what is different here is that the least expensive properties have the best positions and the best views; these are the apartments and they are mostly positioned front line golf with front line golf views, lake views and open green views. Generally the properties are divided by wide avenues with manicured lawns; there are numerous fountains and park benches, with orange trees, olive trees and palm tress everywhere. This is a very ‘open’ Resort, with an airy feel of wide open spaces with the landscaping of the gardens undertaken by EDSA, experts in this subject. Polaris World aimed to create a ‘Florida-style’ Resort and here they seem to have succeeded magnificently.

Location and communications
• Located 15 minutes drive inland.
• 15 minutes drive from the regions capital city of Murcia.
• 25 minutes drive from the city of Cartagena.
• 10 minutes drive from the Balsicas railway station with its high speed train links to Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia etc.
• 15 minutes drive from the main north-south AP7 motorway.
• 5 minutes drive from the numerous small Spanish towns – Balsicas, Roldan, and San Cayetano.
• 15 minutes drive from San Javier (Murcia) airport.
• 50 minutes drive from Alicante airport.
• 20 minutes drive from the new Corvera airport (due to open in 2010).

Developer
Polaris World is the most prolific developer in the region of Murcia, with approximately 60 Polaris World properties being sold every day! Price range
99% of properties are sold but there is a very limited supply of ‘Key Ready’ properties being released by Polaris World to their agent network (i.e. to spanish home 4u and others) on an ad hoc and massively discounted basis that are generally sold the same day. So if you are interested in a property at La Torre it is best to declare your interest to us so that we can contact you immediately a property becomes available. Late in 2008 Polaris World offered 35% discounts to secure ‘same day’ sales on properties originally costing from €183,000 to €491,000, but on the last few they offered 50% off the price list ... these all sold withing minutes! 

SENIOR properties available?
Yes. Polaris was one of the first to architect design and build ‘from the ground up’ SENIOR properties and there are a limited number of SENIOR type properties built at La Torre. But no more properties are being built here; all residential building has been completed.

• A large-ish and open Resort with huge green areas set in the countryside. 
• Low density construction even though there are thousands of properties here.
• 2 bedroom Apartments, 2 bedroom Townhouses, 2 bedroom Semi-detached villas and both 2 and 3 bedroom detached Villas.
• Numerous communal swimming pools (those villas with large enough plots may have private swimming pools, which were optional extras).
• Mostly open views of swimming pools, lakes and the golf course beyond.

• The Jack Nicklaus 18 hole golf course meanders through the Resort.
• Centred on its own town centre. Town centre already built with numerous cafés, numerous bars, numerous restaurants of various types, an ice cream parlour, a golf club and pro-shop, a fabulous Social Club, hairdressers, live entertainment venues, a 5 star hotel and spa is due to open later in 2008. There is a supermarket here with a home delivery service, a cash machine, a fully functioning health centre, a supermarket and even a British School (Kings College).

Holiday home or permanent residence?
There are properties here to suit most budgets and most types of buyer, so some will be holiday homes whilst there is already a permanent resident population.

Gated community?
Yes, absolutely! Security is of the utmost importance with a perimeter wall, 24 hour 7 days a week on-site security, CCTV and control on access. One feels very safe here.

Building site or finished development?
All of the properties are completely finished, as is most of the town centre, the supermarket, the School and all of the leisure services. Only the 5 star hotel and spa is outstanding, and that is due for completion in 2008.

Golf
Polaris opted for the best golfer in the World, Jack Nicklaus, to design their courses. There are only 10 Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses in the whole of Europe … and 9 Jack Nicklaus courses are on Polaris World Resorts. The La Torre par 68 course is a masterpiece which fits into the overall jigsaw, in that the ‘buy on one, play on all’ concept allows owners and their guests to play on all 9 of the Jack Nicklaus courses on the ‘Nicklaus Golf Trail’. 3 courses are open, 6 more are to be built, 3 of which are ‘Bear’s Best’ courses, and all 9 are within a 25 km radius of El Valle. A Polaris shuttle bus serves them all. Owners secure discounted green fees. The Polaris slogan “Polaris World offers the best golf opportunity in Europe” seems, if anything, to be an understatement.

Beach
The warm inland sea of the Mar Menor is just a 15 minute drive away. For more information select ‘Mar Menor and La Manga’ in the left hand menu under the bullet point ‘Places of Interest’. The Mediterranean Sea is 25 minutes drive away. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of buying on this Resort is that Polaris World are not only building Golf Resorts, but they are ALSO building a Polaris World Beach Club, right at the very tip of The La Manga Strip for all owners and their guests! Festivals
La Torre is so close to a number of Spanish towns, each of whom holds regular festivals as festivals are so crucial to the Spanish way of life – but the city of Murcia is just a 15 minute drive away and HUGE and famous festivals are held here, open for all to enjoy.

Renting out your La Torre property
Polaris World spends millions on TV advertising (€18 million budget for 2008). They are creating the interest.
