Introduction
The Polaris World Cortijos de Alhama Golf Resort (the large farmhouses of Alhama), also called Cortijos de Alhama Resort or just simply Cortijos de Alhama is the absolute crème de la crème of all of the Resorts within the “Super Resort” of Condado de Alhama, what Polaris World calls “A World of Resorts”. Our Personal Opinion
At the Polaris World Cortijos de Alhama Golf Resort are to built just 40 in total absolutely luxury villas, some of the largest, the most expensive, the most luxurious and the best located properties that Polaris World have ever built, aimed absolutely at the discerning and affluent buyer. At Cortijos de Alhama Resort are 3 designs of luxury villas from 3 bedroom 2 bathroom villas up to 5 bedroom 5 bathroom villas all built to a traditionally Spanish design and ranging from 143 to 370 square metres of living accommodation on plots ranging from 480 to 1,100 square metres. Of these just 10 villas will be built front line to the Jack Nicklaus ‘Signature’ course, with the lake at the bottom of the rear garden and the golf course beyond. The trademark high security of all Polaris World properties is further enhanced especially for the 40 property owners at Cortijos de Alhama, as these 40 villas will have their own dedicated security access into their tiny Resort and access is restricted to residents only, so heightening the sense of security and utmost exclusivity.  Buying these ‘Off-Plan’ Polaris World Cortijos de Alhama Golf Resort properties must surely be an investment for the future – not just in purely financial terms, but as an investment in ones quality of life.

There IS a SENIOR version of the villa Jazmin available and on the Polaris World price list. However all of the villas at the Cortijos de Alhama Resort are large bungalow style villas so all might be suitable for the less able bodied and those of mature years.

Value for money? 
 €½ million is undoubtedly a lot of money to spend in Spain and €½ million used to be a phenomenal amount of money to pay on the Costa Calida for a property, but as this Costa has become a ‘Hot Spot’ properties of this value are regularly becoming available, and for this level of exclusivity and luxury the 3 bedroom 2 bathroom villas will be sought after as they represent excellent value for money. Polaris World have tended up until now to generally stop at 3 bedroom villas with just a very limited number of larger villas being built, so the more expensive 4 bedroom 3 bathroom villas and especially the 5 bedroom 5 bathroom villas here are aimed at the more affluent and discerning client for whom exclusivity, luxury, exceptionally high security and rarity value will itself generate the desire to own one of these properties. Yes, and the highest level of security to be found at any Polaris World Resort anywhere. Not only is the general Condado de Alhama itself secure, with manned security access, but this Cortijos de Alhama Resort, even though it consists of just 40 villas, has its own dedicated manned security control, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is no higher level of security on any other Polaris World Resort anywhere … not even at El Valle where the President of Polaris World lives.

Building site or finished development?
Work has still to commence and the build programme is 1½ to 2 years. As this is a tiny Resort of just 40 villas one expects that they should all be completed on time and together so that the workmen will then en-mass move off site.

Café bars and restaurants
• At the centre of the Condado de Alhama is planned to be the Oasis, built in a Hispano-Arabic style. It has been designed as the largest sports and commercial complex in the whole Murcia region of Spain. So it will be massive! It is neither a typical town centre nor a traditional shopping centre, but an island of wide streets and spacious squares covering 100,000 square meters. It aims to evoke a bustling Arabic quarter with its palm trees and shops, cafés, bars, restaurants, offices and other services to be found here. At one end of the island is an independent island that houses the Banos de Alhama thermal baths, with their hot and cold indoor and outdoor pools, spa and sauna covering 7,000 square meters. At the centre of Condado de Alhama is the huge lake. A sheet of water covering 200,000 square meters, and beyond that the brilliant green of the golf courses. The water from the lake is channelled through the streets of the town centre to form ponds and fountains, and small piers jut out into the lake.
• Outside of the Polaris World Cortijos de Alhama Resort are numerous other Resorts of the Condado de Alhama ‘Super Resort’, so countless leisure and sporting activities will be here, very close by. This is a true ‘Super Resort’, the very first in this part of Spain.
• The seaside town of Mazarron is just 10 to 15 minutes drive away with all of its typically Spanish cafés, bars, restaurants and shops.
• The Spanish town of Alhama de Murcia is very close by for a traditional inland and unrushed experience.
• As an owner of a Polaris World property, homeowners become members of the Polaris Club, allowing access to all Polaris World Resorts facilities, be they shops, hotels, sports, spas or golf. 

Golf
• 3 Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf courses on site. Not just one but two ‘Bears Best’ courses and the third course being a ‘Signature’ course.
• As an owner of a Polaris World property, homeowners become members of the Polaris Club, allowing access to all Polaris World Resorts facilities, be they shops, hotels, sports, spas or golf. Of  note is the Nicklaus Golf Trail, the 9 golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, all of which are within Polaris World Resorts, 3 are here on site and all are within a 25 kilometre radius.
• Close by are other non-Polaris World courses, in total there are approaching 20 golf courses within a 25 kilometre radius!

Beach

The Polaris World Beach Club La Manga will have café bars and a restaurant with a swimming pool on-site. 

Polaris Rental Club
Polaris World spends millions on TV advertising (€18 million budget for 2008). They are creating the interest.
