Located in the ‘El Gran Lago’ (the great lake) at the heart of the Condado is the island, which is connected to the ‘mainland’ by a bridge and with its own security access control. The four-floor apartment blocks are built in a stepped architectural design, so each apartments' terrace offers a view and a lifestyle normally only experienced with penthouses. There are 2 and 3 bedroom designs; all have a terrace and the ground floor apartments have gardens of up to 120 square metres in size. 

On the island a central boulevard incorporates green areas, children’s play areas and parking. A path runs around the perimeter of the island leading to the ‘Club La Isla’ with its own gym, bar, swimming pool and ample terraces. A sense of tranquillity, which can only be afforded by still waters and beautiful gardens, will pervade this Resort. But the icing on the cake in La Isla del Condado is provided by the 3 infinity swimming pools which will give the effect of almost merging with the lake itself. What a Resort!

Our Personal Opinion
This is going to be something VERY special indeed. This is such a unique development in a truly luxurious location, yet it comes without the luxury price tag. Usually such a prestigious location, front line to the water, would ‘cost a fortune’ yet here the apartments are priced from just €144,300. Imagine waking up to the sound of the water lapping at the shore close to your bedroom window. Imagine taking your breakfast on your terrace, looking over the stillness of the lake and the rolling countryside leading up to the mountains in the far distance. Imagine swimming in the infinity swimming pool. This is “The Life”. But beware – these unique apartments are selling FAST. Buying one of these ‘Off-Plan’ properties must surely be an investment for the future – not just in purely financial terms, but as an investment in ones quality of life.

Location and communications
• Located inland in the region of Murcia, with a mountain backdrop.

There is no higher level of security on any other Polaris World Resort anywhere … not even at El Valle where the President of Polaris World lives.

Building site or finished development?
Work commences late 2008 with a build programme of 1½ years, so the properties should become available for completion in 2010. As this is a tiny Resort of just 11 apartment blocks one expects that they should all be completed on time and together so that the workmen will then en-mass move off site.

Show properties
Within the Condado de Alhama Resort there are show apartments to view, so one can see the quality of workmanship and overall finish if not on the exact property that one is interested in, then at least on one on the Condado itself.

• At the centre of the Condado de Alhama is the Oasis, built in a Hispano-Arabic style. It has been designed as the largest sports and commercial complex in the whole Murcia region of Spain. So it will be massive! It is neither a typical town centre nor a traditional shopping centre, but an island of wide streets and spacious squares covering 100,000 square meters. It aims to evoke a bustling Arabic quarter with its palm trees and shops, cafés, bars, restaurants, offices and other services to be found here. At one end of the island is an independent island that houses the Banos de Alhama thermal baths, with their hot and cold indoor and outdoor pools, spa and sauna covering 7,000 square meters. At the centre of Condado de Alhama is the huge lake. A sheet of water covering 200,000 square meters, and beyond that the brilliant green of the golf courses. The water from the lake is channelled through the streets of the town centre to form ponds and fountains, and small piers jut out into the lake.
• Outside of the Cortijos de Alhama Resort are numerous other Resorts of the Condado de Alhama ‘Super Resort’, so countless leisure and sporting activities will be here, very close by. This is a true ‘Super Resort’, the very first in this part of Spain.
• The seaside town of Mazarron is just 10 to 15 minutes drive away with all of its typically Spanish cafés, bars, restaurants and shops.
• The Spanish town of Alhama de Murcia is very close by for a traditional inland and unrushed experience.
• As an owner of a Polaris World property, homeowners become members of the Polaris Club, allowing access to all Polaris World Resorts facilities, be they shops, hotels, sports, spas or golf. 

Golf
• 3 Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf courses on site. Not just one but two ‘Bears Best’ courses and the third course being a ‘Signature’ course.
• As an owner of a Polaris World property, homeowners become members of the Polaris Club, allowing access to all Polaris World Resorts facilities, be they shops, hotels, sports, spas or golf. Of  note is the Nicklaus Golf Trail, the 9 golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, all of which are within Polaris World Resorts, 3 are here on site and all are within a 25 kilometre radius.
• Close by are other non-Polaris World courses, in total there are approaching 20 golf courses within a 25 kilometre radius!

Beach
• The gently shelving, safe and sandy beaches of Mazarron are just about 10 to 15 minutes drive away (for information on Mazarron please select the item ‘Mazarron’ under the bullet point ‘Places of Interest’ in the left menu).
• Polaris World are also building their own beach club at the end tip of the beautiful La Manga Strip, and the nearest Mar Menor beach is around 25 to 30 minutes drive away (for more information select the item ‘Mar Menor and La Manga’ under the bullet point ‘Places of Interest’ in the left menu). The Polaris World Beach Club La Manga will have café bars and a restaurant with a swimming pool on-site. 

Polaris Rental Club
Polaris World spends millions on TV advertising (€18 million budget for 2008). They are creating the interest.
