Our personal opinion
The world famous La Manga Club has over the 30 plus years of its existence matured into a wonderful and beautiful oasis with properties “to die for”. Built on the slopes of pine covered hills, nestling amongst the lemon groves and looking out over the crystal clear waters of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea beyond, spread over 1,400 acres of lush rolling countryside in an area the size of Monaco lies the “Rich Mans Club” that is the La Manga Club. The properties range from luxurious apartments, penthouses, and townhouses to magnificent villas clustered throughout the palm covered hills in dazzling ‘villages’. The properties highlighted here on this web page are stunning, absolutely stunning – if these do not take your breath away then nothing will! Built into the side of a hill with views stretching over the La Manga Club Resort, over the golf course, and towards the mountains in the distance the properties are split level villas at ‘Las Atalayas’. At the heart of the Resort lies the magnificent 5 star Hyatt Regency La Manga Hotel. Location and communications
• Located just 10 minutes drive off the main north/south motorway the AP7.
• 20 minutes drive of San Javier (Murcia) airport.
• 1 hours drive from Alicante airport.
• When the 3rd airport serving this region at Corvera is open (due to open in 2010) that will be about 30 minutes drive.

Developer
The builder is J M K Inversiones S.L., a Spanish builder specializing in building small developments. This is their first development within the La Manga Club and they have added a great many ‘special touches’ to their properties, all of which are immediately evident even to the casual observer. For example the floors are not made from just any marble but ‘Crema de Levante’ marble. And not just the usual plain marble floors, but the ‘Crema de Levante’ marble floors also have a decorative border made from 1st quality ‘Emperador’ marble in the main rooms. The windows in the living room are h-u-g-e, the rooms have in-built ceiling halogen down-lighters, which northern European buyers demand but most Spanish builders do not fit, alarms are pre-installed, the list goes on.

Numerous companies within the La Manga Club itself and outside of it, especially in the UK specialize in holidays to the La Manga Club, and they advertise heavily in the press throughout Europe and even charter their own aircraft – one such organization operates 7 flights a week from the UK such is the demand.

No. All villas are slit level built in to the side of a step hill – the views are stunning, but that does not make for a disabled-friendly home!

Golf
The La Manga Club is literally word famous for golf, and rightly so. It has hosted the Spanish Open, the PGA Spanish Championships, Spanish Junior Championships, the Ladies Spanish Open, the Senior Spanish Open, and many more prestigious championships. It is synonymous with golf with 3 separate 18 hole Championship courses, the ‘North’, ‘South’ and ‘West’ courses, and outstanding practice facilities. It has been voted Europe’s top golf Resort twice in the last 5 years and it has recently been chosen as the winter training base of the German PGA.

The ‘North’ course is an undulating Championship course with tight fairways and large greens. It has been newly reconstructed and built to USGA specification and relies on precision rather than length.

The ‘South’ course was originally designed by Robert Putman in 1971, subsequently remodeled by Arnold Palmer in 1992 and was completely refurbished in 2004. It is considered a top-calibre Championship course providing a tough test for golfers of all levels.

The ‘West’ course is many golfers favourite because of its setting and views, and because of the challenge offered by its narrow fairways, frequent blind spots and the gullies which snake through the course making it particularly exciting to play.
To cap it all the La Manga Club houses a golf Academy using both computerized video analysis and traditional teaching methods.
